I met webchick in person today - at the Starbucks on Monkland in Montreal, near to where my parents live, and - small world - near to where webchick lives!
The Starbucks features free WiFi - I was getting sustained downloads of approx. 450Mb/s, which annoyed the hell out of me because my crummy Shaw cable connection in Vancouver maxes out at less than 200Mb/s
webchick (aka Angie, aka webchikenator) bought the first round of hot chocolate, demonstrating friendliness and sociability - and we were quickly into Drupal talk, where she demonstrated in addition great energy, articulateness, as well as intimate familiarity with the some of the scary parts of the Drupal codebase, and the usual developer skills of sideways typing and mousing whilst holding caffinated beverages :)
We killed a few bugs, made a couple of battle plans, drank more hot chocolate... along the way I learned a couple of new things about IRC and cron, and a good time was had by all. Alas that my time in Montreal is drawing to an end, but I'm looking forward to seeing webchick and many other of my Drupal friends at DrupalCon Vancouver 2006 in just about a month!
