Electric bike, FTW!

Today, the first day of Spring, marks my second commute of the week on my relatively new bike, an Ezee Forte electric model. If you've been following along you'll know that the first few rides left me less-than-impressed with the electrical system.

Last weekend we were visiting Victoria again, and brought the bike back to Scooter Underground for a look. Todd Johnson, who sold us the bike, was great - he diagnosed a faulty battery pack and replaced it, tuned up the bike and told us if anything ever went wrong with the battery, he'd have a new battery shipped up to us. Fantastic service!

Indeed, with the replacement battery, the bike is a little rocket. I took it up to VIU on Tuesday, an 18.3km ride. Actually, this distance is according to Google - my Velo tells me it's 20.1km. I must weave a lot :)
